IOWA GHOST TOWNS
COUNTY OF EMMET
TOWN OF MAPLE HILL
Maple Hill is located in the eastern part of Swan Lake Township. About 13 miles
east of the town of Estherville. The plat was filed in the recorders office in
1899. It had a post office shortly after it became a town.
At one time it had
three main businesses, those being a grain elevator, an implement store and a
general store.
