This Iowa Ghost Towns Project is Affiliated with
Argo still exists today.
It is located about 5 miles West of LeClaire,
Iowa on territorial Road at the junction of Wells Fairy Road. Only a General
Store/restaurant and a few residences, is all that remains.
This writer can remember when years ago
they had free movies that were shown on the side of a garage beside the store.
During intermissions the store would sell refreshments to the people who came to
watch the free shows.
The present proprietor of the store is a decendant of the orginal owner.
