SUMNER. In section 11, Sumner Township. A post office was on that location from about 1860-1870, when the presesnt town of Sumner was established two miles to the south and the post office removed to it. Bremer


SUMNER. A town laid out in 1857 in the southeast quarter of section 12, Delana Township, but never built up. Humboldt


SUNNYSIDE In eastern part of section 19, Jefferson Township. Post Office, 1861-81. Buchanan


SUNSET. A place about two miles west of the town of Zearing. Post office, 1878-81. Story


SUTTON. Listed in the U. S. postal records as a post office in Warren County from 1897 to 1900, but the location not found. Warren


SWAN LAKE. In section 25, Center Township, immediately north of the western part of Swan Lake. Town platted in 1879. Was the county seat from 1880 to 1882, and a post office from 1881 to 1900. Emmet


SWAN LAKE. The name for a short time of the post office later called Garlock when it was established in 1877. Pocohantas


SWANTON.  The name of the post office (1857-1900) located about four miles southeast of New Albion and later in the southneast corner of section 34, Jefferson Township, as shown on the Andreas' Atlas, 1875. Butler


SWEA. A post office in section 3, Swea Township, from 1872 to 1893. In 1890 a town called Swea was laid out in the northwestern part of section 10, or about three miles northeast of the present town of Swea City. Kossuth


SWEDE POINT. In northeast corner of section 36, Douglas Township. Platted in 1851. Post office, 1857-80. The name of the town was changed to Madrid in 1855. Boone


SYRACUSE. In section 18, Polk Township. Post office, 1863-67.  Bremer
